Daniele Donà is an Associate Professor at the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health at the University of Padua (Italy). His research focuses on antimicrobial stewardship, antibiotic use in severe infections, the epidemiology of pediatric infections, and emerging infectious diseases, with particular emphasis on surveillance systems and the use of real-world clinical data.

Prof. Donà has extensive experience in national and international collaborative research and has contributed to several large multicentre studies and surveillance initiatives addressing antimicrobial stewardship, antimicrobial resistance, viral infections, and emerging pathogens. He collaborates with European and global research networks, integrating clinical epidemiology, microbiology, and public health to support antimicrobial stewardship and preparedness for emerging infectious diseases. His work includes the analysis of large multinational datasets and contributes to the development of clinical guidelines and evidence-based recommendations for infectious disease management.
He has authored more than 180 peer-reviewed publications in international journals and collaborates widely with academic institutions and public health organizations.

In addition to his research activities, he maintains an active clinical role in pediatric infectious diseases and is involved in the training and supervision of medical students, residents, and PhD candidates.
